Sebastián Heredia Santiago was born in 1951. Gypsy flamenco singer and dancer from Marbella. Also known as “Cancanilla de Malaga”, comes from a family of noble ancestry flamenco. Apart from flamenco singer, he knows the intricacies of the dance perfectly, he began in dance companies such as José Greco and Lola Flores.
Cancanilla has a deep knowledge of the different styles of flamenco, an an unquestionable artistic sense and a great sense of rythm. Never the less he has performed at different tablaos through out his life, with the best figures of the flamenco in the last 30-40 years.
“Marbella Cancanilla” is one of the best and most complete flamenco singers at this moment. In 1998 he won the award “Enrique El Mellizo” in the 15th National Contest of Flamenco Art of Córdoba.
